If required, you can work through the troubleshooting with the Maintenance Control and any other departments involved using Messages in the Event.
Send Messages: Comments vs. Notes
You can send two types of messages: Comments and Notes.
Comments are messages that will be visible to all users in the Event.
Notes are messages that will only be visible to users at your location.
How to send a Comment
(a) Once you are inside the Event for the aircraft you are working on, tap the text box labeled "Add public comment or internal note". This will open the Messenger.
(b) Type in your message. You can change the format and appearance of your message using the text editor.
(c) Tap Enter on your keyboard or the yellow "Add Comment" button to send your message.
How to send a Note
a) Once you are inside the Event Hub for the aircraft you are working on, click the text box labeled "Add public comment or internal note". This will open the Messenger.
(b) Click the "Note" label. This will toggle the message type to a note.
(c) Type in your message. You can change the format and appearance of your message using the text editor.
(d) Click the "Visible to:" Dropdown Menu to select who you would like the note to be seen by. By default, notes will be seen by users who share your role.
(e) Click Enter on your keyboard or the yellow "Add Note" button to send your message.
