The fifth step will be based on the needs of the situation.
When applicable, Controllers can share information or upload any technical documents or files to the Event.
Why does this help: This helps provide Technicians with any references or technical documents they may need in a more organized way - additionally, it helps provide situational context for Maintenance Crews to prepare for troubleshooting (bringing the right tools, finding the right aircraft history)
What does this result in: This results in less time spend on phone calls (are able to confirm needs in one call rather than having to call back if information was not received) and increase rates of first time fixes (this should relate directly to the user that is intended to read this)
1. Receiving & Viewing Information posted by other users
In the Event, Maintenance Control can send any relevant files or information.
You will see information shared by other users as posts in the timeline.
Information can be shared as text-based messages (similar to email but more user-friendly), files (any file type, size or quantity) and Media (photos/videos).
Messages will appear as a post with a heading and body.
The post heading will display the name of the user sending the message and the body will contain the message they are sharing.
File Uploads will appear as a post with a Link that displays the Files name.
The post will include a grey rectangle that acts as a link. You can click the link to open the file without needing to leave the AireXpert app.
Photos and Videos will appear as posts with Thumbnail Images.
Photos and Video thumbnails act as their own links to AireXpert's integrated Media Viewer.
Clicking on a thumbnail will open the video/image in the Media Viewer where the media can be viewed, manipulated or annotated.
