How to Assign Technicians to an Event

Step-by-step tutorial to Assigning Technicians to an Event through 'Manage Technicians' in the Event Management Options Menu

Inside the Event Hub you can assign technicians to an Event. This will notify the assigned Users of their assignment , maintain visibility into who is working on this Events aircraft or provide Event Access to Out-Station Events.

1. Assigning Technicians in Manage Technicians

a) Inside of the Event Hub, toward the top of the Event Management Panel, locate and click the ‘Options Menu’. This will open the Options drop-down menu

(b) Click the ‘Manage Technicians’ option. This will open the Manage Technicians panel on your screen where you’ll find a roster of all Technicians at your each of your Airline Operated Maintenance Organizations.

If the Event has an Airline Operated Maintenance Organization assigned as the Maintenance Provider, the Manage Technicians panel will show the Roster of the Assigned Organization.

If the Event is at a location without an Airline Operated Maintenance Organization you can select the Roster for an Airline Operated Maintenance Organization using the Organization drop-down menu and assign Airline Maintenance Users to provide them with Access (for Road Trip Events).

(c) Once you have the correct Roster open in the Manage Technicians panel, locate the user you would like to assign to the Event by searching for their name or scrolling.

(d) Once you locate the Technician, click assign to the right of their name then click ‘Save’ to confirm assignment.

(e) Once you click ‘Save’ it will post an update in the Event Timeline indicating the assignment and you can view the assignment in the ‘Assigned Technicians’ section of the Event Management Panel.



Un-assigning Technicians in Manage Technicians

(a) Inside of the Event Hub, toward the top of the Event Management Panel, locate and click the ‘Options Menu’. This will open the Options drop-down menu

(b) Click the ‘Manage Technicians’ option. This will open the Manage Technicians panel on your screen where you’ll find a roster of all Technicians at your each of your Airline Operated Maintenance Organizations.

(c) Once you have the correct Roster open in the Manage Technicians panel, locate the user you would like to un-assign from the Event by searching for their name or scrolling.

(d) Once you locate the Technician, click un-assign to the right of their name then click ‘Save’ to confirm.

(e) Once you click ‘Save’ it will post an update in the Event Timeline and remove the user from the ‘Assigned Technicians’ section of the Event Management Panel.
