Supervisors & Leads: Assign Technicians

In this bonus step Supervisors & Leads will learn how to assign work to their technicians and provide them with access to Events.


When introducing technicians to AireXpert, we recommend inviting them to Events via Email or SMS/WhatsApp.

This allows them to share information from the aircraft with minimal training.

In this step Supervisors & Leads (with the Coordinator role) will be to access the Event Collaboration Hub, click the Invite Users button from the Options menu, and invite the Technician by entering their phone number or email.


1. From inside the Event Hub, Click the Options menu and select "Invite Users"

This will open the Invite Panel where you can select to invite the Technician via SMS, Email, or WhatsApp.


2. Enter the Technicians phone number or email and click "Invite User"

Type the technicians phone number or email address in the text box and then click the "Invite User" button.

Prefer to use WhatsApp? You can send an invite via WhatsApp.


When inviting a Technician using WhatsApp be sure to select the "WhatsApp" from the drop-down menu.


3. Ensure the Technician joined the Event before sending messages

Wait to see the status update "SMS User Joined" before sending messages you want them to receive.

Once the technician has accepted the invite. you can collaborate with them directly in the Event to troubleshoot the issue.


There are two ways to provide technicians with access to Events in AireXpert

1. They can use the AireXpert Application with their own account.


Default: In this instance, Technicians can log in to their own accounts and access any Events Assigned to them or their location from the either the Mobile or Desktop Dashboards.

Optionally, it can be set up to restrict access to "read-only" until technicians are assigned by their Lead or a Controller.



2. Access via Temporary Invitation with AireXpert Connect


(a) AireXpert Connect allows you to invite users to Events using their Email or Phone Number.

(b) Event Invites sent using AireXpert Connect will only provide Event Access to the Even the user was invited to. Once the Event ends their access will expire and they must be invited to any future Events to gain access.

(c) For Email Invites, users will receive an email with a single access link, clicking this link will allow them to access the Event through the AireXpert web app. With this option they have access to all Event features and can see historical updates posted in the timeline.

(d) For SMS & WhatsApp invites, users will receive a invitation to join the Event directly from their SMS App or WhatsApp. They will receive information as normal text messages in the chat & can text messages or photos & videos* back.



If the Technician has an Account you can assign them in "Manage Technicians"


a) Inside of the Event Hub, toward the top of the Event Management Panel, locate and click the ‘Options Menu’. This will open the Options drop-down menu

(b) Click the ‘Manage Technicians’ option. This will open the Manage Technicians panel on your screen where you’ll find a roster of all Technicians at your base.

(c) In the Manage Technicians panel, locate the user you would like to assign to the Event by searching for their name or scrolling.

(d) Once you locate the Technician, click assign to the right of their name then click ‘Save’ to confirm assignment.

(e) Once you click ‘Save’ it will post an update in the Event Timeline indicating the assignment and you can view the assignment in the ‘Assigned Technicians’ section of the Event Management Panel.
