6) Step Six: Easy Status Updates

You can use two-click status update to avoid interruptions during the job.

In this step, you can use the two-click status updates to set the current Maintenance Status.

This will help you avoid interruption from status update phone calls while you're working on the Aircraft.

1. Indicating Maintenance Arrival

(a) In the Event, you'll notice a blue "Arrived" button near the top right right corner of your screen.

(b) Click the "Arrived" button and a confirmation menu will appear on your screen.

(c) In the Confirmation menu, click "Yes" to confirm Maintenance Arrival

(d) Clicking "Yes" in the Confirmation Menu will confirm the status update and change the Event Status to Maintenance Arrived and your status to Active indicating Maintenance is working on the aircraft.

Note: Indicating arrival is a one-time action; If another User has already indicated Maintenance Arrival the "Arrived" button will change to a "Status" button that indicates your current status on that aircraft. (Your status is set to Inactive by default; Active or Complete options available for selection.)

2. Changing your Work Status

Once the Initial Arrival Update has been made each user can change their individual work status.

There are three status options:

Active: Indicates you are working on the aircraft.

Inactive: Indicates you are not working on the aircraft.

Complete: Indicates that Maintenance has completed their work on the aircraft.

  • Setting your status to complete does not end the Event, it is just a status update to others viewing the Event.

Setting your Status

(a) In the Event, you'll find a blue status button near the top right right corner of your screen. The status button will be labeled with your current status; it will say "Active", "Inactive", or "Complete".

(b) To change your status, click the Status Button. This will open a menu on your screen.

(c) Select the status update you want, then click "Apply". This will change your status and send a status update in the Timeline.

(d) Set your Status to Complete after work is been completed on the Aircraft to notify Maintenance Control that the aircraft is ready for Return to Service.
