Read Me: Understanding the types of organizations in AireXpert is important for understanding Event Access.
When it comes to accessing Events in AireXpert, there are two main types of organizations:
1. Your Airline Organization (SOC/OCC)
This includes your airline’s internal operations—such as Controllers, AOG, Engineering, Planning, and Management.
Users within your airline organization are considered internal users.
When someone from your organization creates an Event, all internal users are automatically given access.
No additional steps are needed to grant access—they’re in by default.
2. Maintenance Organizations
These are the teams that carry out the actual work on the aircraft.
They can include:
Your airline’s own maintenance stations
Third-party contract maintenance providers
Unlike internal users, Maintenance Organizations do not get automatic access to Events.
They must be assigned to an Event in order to view or participate in it.
Here’s how it works:
When an Event is created, the appropriate Maintenance Organization is selected from a list of available providers at the Event’s location.
Once assigned, users from that organization can access the Event through the AireXpert web or mobile app.
In some cases—especially with your airline’s own maintenance stations—this assignment can be automated to speed things up.
1. Automatic Event Access
If you create an Event, users assigned to your organization (Airline SOC / OCC) will automatically have access to that Event.
This includes: Other Controllers, AOG, Engineering, Planning, Management.
AireXpert can automatically assign and provide access to Maintenance Organizations of your selection. Ask us how!
2. Event Access by Assignment
Maintenance Organizations (Airline Operated or Contract) are classified as their own organizations in AireXpert.
This means they will not have access to an Event automatically and must be assigned to an Event in order to gain access.
Once an Maintenance Organization is assigned to an Event any user at that Organization will have access to the Event via the AireXpert app (web or mobile).
For Airline Operated Maintenance Stations, assignment (therefore access) can be automated.
3. Event Access by Temporary Invitation
The third way to provide Access to an Event is by inviting a user via Email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
This method allow you to provide temporary access to any person globally, using only their email or phone number.
Inviting a user via SMS or WhatsApp will allow them to participate in the Event using their devices native Text Messaging app or WhatsApp. No App Download or Log in Required. Once that Event ends their access will expire.
Inviting a user via Email will provide them with a temporary access link to the Event they were invited to. Once that Event ends their access will expire.
